This piece is a poster made looking at the Feminist theory and how it relates back to early learning. This piece connects back to the advocacy of the Community Practice. It relates as the feminist lens is still needed within our field and quite frankly still used. Feminism within society is something that I view as important and that is still needed. Looking within certain aspects of society there is still an uneven balance between men and women. The patriarchy still exists and in my opinion and is a part of everyday life. This poster shows the understanding I gained through peer work and research regarding this theory and its presence within the field.

This poster points out how society sometimes has misconceptions regarding this theory. Remaining reflective and aware of current and pastimes of society is something I feel is important. This relevant theory is one that I use in my everyday life and intend to continue to use within my practice. This relates back to community practice as my personal practice will impact the community, I have the power to make a positive change. When looking at the advocacy aspect, women being equal is something that this poster highlights. It takes a look at the feminist theory and not only educates on the topic but also takes a view on how it has impacted the field of early learning.
